Its been a long long time since some song has stuck to my lips, Emotional Atyachar did it for a couple of days, and thats it. I have always boasted about my love for lyrics, for vocals and what not. Some day you listen to some song you just forget your logics, and it just sticks to you.
I have never been too big a A R Rehman fan, well I have liked some of his songs, but then not like a big fan, but his this creation has just captivated me from last couple of weeks. I cannot say it has great lyrics, not great vocals either, but to say the least, It got the honor of being a single song on my repeat playlist for 2 hours one of the days last week at work, and at end of it, I wasn’t bored of it . Some song it must be.
People who know my pathetic knowledge of our national language..can they please step in and explain the song to me.
Oh I love this song too…and it has been on my mind for the last few days too…loved the voice and the peppy spirit.
From what I can make out, genda phool (Marigold) is one of the not-so beautiful flowers in nature. I mean its not rose or lotus or something like that. Sasural that is your in-law’s house is like marigold. Not satisfying. What a females heart would always like is their own house. The female’s husband has gone on some business trip and her brother-in-law and people in the house are making her realize that sasural is indeed genda phool !
